Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Glen Scher and Filip Niculete of the LAAA Team, broker associates of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services, Inc. (DRE #00530854), collect, use and share personal information through laaa.com and in our work with clients, and the rights California residents have over it.

Notice at Collection

This section is our notice at collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). It lists what we collect, why, and whether we sell or share it.

  • Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, phone number, company and mailing address. Used to reply to you, to send listings and market updates, and to show you our listings through ads on social media. Shared with advertising platforms: yes. Sold: no.
  • Property and transaction information: buildings you own or are interested in, offers and deal activity, and the Offering Memoranda you request. Used to serve you as a client and to send relevant listings. Shared: no. Sold: no.
  • Internet activity: pages visited, referral source, device type and approximate location, collected by Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics. Used to run and improve the website. Shared: no. Sold: no.
  • Audio recordings: calls to our listing phone line may be recorded, and callers are told when they are. Used to answer and follow up on inquiries. Shared: no. Sold: no.

We keep contact and client records while we have a business relationship with you and for as long as real estate record keeping rules require, then delete or de-identify them. Website analytics data is kept only as long as our analytics settings retain it.

Where We Get Information

  • From you: website forms, Offering Memorandum requests, calls, emails and meetings
  • From public records, such as county property and assessor records
  • From commercially available property and business data sources
  • From Marcus & Millichap, and from listing platforms such as LoopNet and Crexi when you inquire about one of our listings

How We Use Information

  • To answer inquiries, prepare valuations and represent clients
  • To send listings, market updates and investment content by email, and to show our listings and services to people in our client records through ads on social media
  • To run, secure and improve the website
  • To meet our legal and licensing obligations

Sharing for Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We share names, email addresses, phone numbers and general location (city, state and ZIP code) with advertising platforms, currently Meta (Facebook and Instagram), so the platform can match those details to its users and show our listings and services to people already in our client records. The details are scrambled (hashed) before the platform uses them for matching. Under California law this is "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you can opt out of it at any time. laaa.com does not run advertising pixels or tracking tags.

Your California Rights

  • Opt out of sale and sharing. Use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or email or call us. We will stop sharing your information for advertising and remove you from lists we have already shared within 15 business days.
  • Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, and for you whenever we know who you are, such as when you request an Offering Memorandum. The opt-out page shows whether your browser is sending the signal. We do not respond to the older Do Not Track setting.
  • Know. Ask what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with, and ask for a copy.
  • Delete. Ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct. Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Non-discrimination. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about anyone, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

To make a request, email Glen.Scher@marcusmillichap.com or call (818) 212-2808. For a request to know, delete or correct, we verify your identity by matching the details you give us to our records. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission.

Email

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops our marketing emails, and we also leave people who unsubscribe out of our advertising lists. Opting out of sharing on its own does not stop our emails.

Service Providers

These companies process information for us under contract: Salesforce, through Apto (our client database); Mailchimp and Resend (email); Vercel and Cloudflare (hosting and security); Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics (website analytics); Twilio (phone number checks); Retell (our listing phone line); and Airtable (records). As broker associates of Marcus & Millichap, we also keep client information within the firm's systems. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies to run the site and to remember that you signed our confidentiality agreement, Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to measure traffic, and Cloudflare Turnstile to keep spam out of our forms. We do not use advertising cookies or pixels.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption on all pages and secure form submission. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites (LoopNet, Crexi, the MLS, Google Maps). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
